A mother of two, Stephanie Cohen began her career as a Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) analyst with Goldman Sachs in 1999. Being the only woman in her team, she always believed in delivering her best. She said, “If you were doing a good job, you were memorable”.
Her career took a turn in 2008 when she shifted to the Conflicts and Business section. Here, she took care of bankers faced with legal and ethical issues.
After her little stint in the Conflicts and Business section, she became the Managing Director in 2009.
While acting as the MD, she was offered the role of Chief Strategy Officer in 2017.
In 2020, she was appointed a full-time member of the Group Management Committee and was appointed Co-Head of the Consumer and Wealth Management division.
In 2022, she returned to lead the Platform solutions division at Goldman Sachs.
Currently, she is also a member of the Board of Quill.org and a trustee for the Board of Economic Club of New York.

However, Cohen is not all about work. She has been a role model in balancing career and family life. In an interview, she said that she would always prefer weekends with her kids over dinner with colleagues in a fancy restaurant.
