Indra Nooyi:

If you're looking for a woman who has scaled the rungs of success to reach the top, look no further than Indra Nooyi. Born and raised in the state of Madras in the year 1955 (modern-day Chennai), she began her career as a Product Manager at Johnson & Johnson and Beardsell Ltd, a textile firm. She went on to work for a variety of companies, including The Boston Consulting Group, Motorola Inc., and Brown Boveri, an engineering firm, before joining PepsiCo Inc in the year 2006. She served as the company’s CEO from the year 2006 to 2018 and the chairman of the board from 2007 to 2019. As the first woman to serve as CEO at PepsiCo., she played an instrumental role in the speedy growth and diversification of the company. Nooyi’s memoir, “My Life in Full: Work, Family and Our Future”, was published in the year 2021.

Shradha Sharma:

Shradha Sharma is known amongst one of the most successful and influential women in India. Before starting her own company, Sharma initially worked for famous news media houses, such as The Times of India and CNBC. The exposure and experience she gained, along with the several successful people she interacted with, gave her the idea of featuring these entrepreneurs and showcasing their stories and talents to the world. Her idea was rejected by several channels and so she decided to create an online platform for featuring unknown success stories. Sharma launched YourStory in the year 2008 and currently serves as the company's Founder, CEO, and Chief Editor. YourStory was created as a platform that gave voice to the unheard stories and showed the world the journey an entrepreneur must go to make it to the top. Her platform has more than 70,000 stories on its website today. Sharma has been called “the biggest storyteller of India’s digital space” and has been named one of the top five women entrepreneurs to watch in India.

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw:

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw has established herself as India's richest self-made woman entrepreneur and one of the country's most successful businesswomen. Her initial steps toward success began with the founding of her company, Biocon Limited, in 1953. Most people are unaware, however, that her company began in the garage of her Bengaluru rented home. Biocon Limited has quickly grown from its humble beginnings under hardworking and forward-thinking leadership to become one of the leading firms in the biomedicine research area. She was named the 54th richest person in India and the world's 65th most influential woman in the year 2019. The Indian government also honoured her with the prestigious "Padma Shri" award in 1989 and the "Padma Bhushan" award in 2005.
